  4.     At first, moviedom's Kelly McGillis found the theater audience
  5. "terrifying." In preview performances of Twelfth Night in
  6. Washington, she would peer out during the soliloquies and "wonder
  7. what they were looking at." As it happened, they were looking at
  8. a classy performance of Viola by the classically trained actress,
  9. who has put Hollywood on hold to indulge in a nine-month stretch
  10. in repertory (for $575 a week). The play opened last week to good
  11. reviews, so McGillis may yet have greatness thrust upon her.
